Vegetable peptone V20 is an enzymatic corn protein with considerable growth-promoting properties. It is an excellent source of vitamins and high-quality nitrogen and is widely used in culture media for cultivation and other purposes.

It has been tested in alcohol fermentation in brewer industry and showed it is of big potential use in lower ABV, high purity fermentation system. The final quality of the alcohol obtained is just slightly inferior to urea and MSG for lower ABV application.
